Modi 2.0 to Stock Market - How to Win!

A long-awaited result is out yesterday. One of the largest democracies made him a winner once again, but with lots of woes and expectations. Aegis Group congratulates Hon’abe PM Shre Narendra Modi for an undefeated victory.

People have been expecting high from him since he was elected PM in 2014 and I suppose he tried his best to make good the things in haywire. Five years down, he has single-handedly created a dignified space in the world order for India. Strategic relations with the USA and other nearby countries were made stronger and more strategic. ‘One Nation – One Tax’ idea of GST may take some more time to manage properly, but feels it is a good way to curb the differences of taxes and their side-effects on the economy. Many other initiatives like Aadhar, Swatch Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, NHPS and more are really good for all.

However, concerning our monetary markets, it has become vital for the new Government to perform on their promises. No doubt, the market sentiments are high with Sensex grown around 1400 points on exit poll for the definitive win of BJP and it has been made true with actual winning on 23rd May 2019. Heavy purchases of FPI on the next day of election results, has made the markets surge around 1.60% and reaching to its all-time high. This clearly shows how optimistic everyone is with BJP coming into power for the next 5-year term.

A major focus of BJP has always been on banking and infrastructure. PM Modi always says that banking and infrastructure are the basis of the growth of a country. If made highly secured banking and creating infrastructure such that it makes India come closer, then there is no limit for our progress. So much for promises, but the citizens of the Indian Republic has given him one more chance to prove that We, as a nation, can progress to no limits.

It is believed by FPI and FII that India is one of the best economies to invest in, in the current scenario. They have been regularly investing and with PM Modi re-elected, all eyes are on India’s growth. Global Investment Bank Morgan Standley expects the BSE Sensex to touch 45,000 by next June and Nifty50 to scale up to around 13,500 in the same period.

Advice: Strictly stick to your financial plan. Do not get greedy with any short term profit. Longer the time horizon, the greater the profit. If require any changes in your portfolio, contact your Financial Planner / Advisor.

Focus: Banking, FMCG, Paints

Caution: Telecom, Pharma, Aviation
